About

Ramina Kaur, MCP, RCC

My name is Ramina Kaur (she/her) and I am the founder of Kaur Counselling. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters in Counselling Psychology. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, holistic, and tailored to the individual needs of my client. I believe in maintaining a warm, empathic, non-judgmental dynamic to help my clients find fulfillment and clarity.

I am a trauma-informed therapist who believes the mind, body, and spirit are intertwined. Some of my passions include Sikh and Panjabi mental health, maternal wellness, culturally-informed and neurodiversity-affirming holistic therapy, and decolonizing mental health practices. I stand by the power of ancestral wisdom and I acknowledge the role intergenerational trauma plays in our complex lives. Although born on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples, my roots extend to Panjab, and I am fluent in Panjabi and English.

I have spent all of my adult life supporting South Asian girls and women, and have over a decade of counselling experience. My clinical experience spans youth and adult counselling, perinatal and family therapy, and both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. I have supported individuals navigating acute crisis, as well as long-term, complex mental health concerns.
